“Tracking me down when I was at work; telling me I was a bad wife and mother for having a career; following me to the supermarket or doctor’s office,” she explained.What started as a barrage of insults soon intensified into pressure to quit her job and move away from her family.Finally, one day Kathleen’s husband attacked her brutally, leaving her with a severe concussion. “The next thing I knew, I woke up at the hospital, actually asking for my husband because I did not remember a thing,” she said. She had a career and everything to keep her family happy and her horrible husband THE FATHER OF HER KIDS is beating her telling her shes a bad mother? for supporting her family. Its bad when you put her in the hospital. The pain and suffering she went through and she got up stronger than before. Today, Kathleen looks back, recognizing the tremendous strides she has made as a survivor of domestic violence. Despite the pain she still suffers from her physical injuries and the ongoing struggle to feel safe after intimate partner abuse, Kathleen has become a passionate advocate in the movement to end domestic violence. I got MAD RESPECT for her.

“I had an abortion two years ago which would make me 20 years old. i had an extremely violent boyfriend who wouldnt let me leave the house well after a certain amount of time. i started getting really sick throwing up all the time couldnt eat but i still had what i thought was a period so i didnt look into it until my friend suggested i take a test and sure enough i was pregnant and i knew right away what i wanted to do. i could never of had that baby. i hated him so much so i had the abortion at 10 weeks 4 days pregnant. i believe i did the right thing but i hid it from everyone. no one knows but that one friend my mom would hate me shes against abortion but it feels good to get it all out.” (http://myabortionmylife.org/pages/sharing-our-stories.php#Iwas16)This story made me think. This girl is worried about her mom hating her but yet fails to think that MAYBE JUST MAYBE if she would have kept that baby her life would have changeed completly, her abusive boyfriend? She could have took the baby and left, because at the end of the day your baby should be ahead of anyone and everyone.

i believe the authors purose of clay talking to him his mom is to show that he is nervous that he dont want nobody to know or that he dont want his mom to freak out.

I beleieve in chapter two, everyone involved in the girls death gets the packages & opens them in shock. I believe that in chapter two that is when Clay beings his trip around town to find out about her death & how he is responsible for his death.

Clay Jensen is the boy who got a tape. In the story he seems upset that he got one. He also seemed clueless because he dont understand what he did so wrong to get one. He believes that her secrets should be buried with her until he knows that SOMEHOW he is responsible for her death. He follows around town to find out about her death.

I believe at the beginning of the story the authors purpose of telling us about the packaging is to let us know that the packages might just be the tapes and to let us be sitting at the edge of our seat to know what the packages are.

In this story, the girl who does suicide sends out tapes telling everyone who was involved in her death why she did it and what they did that involved them. I can make a connection to this because my old bestfriend did suicide and the people who made her do suicide she sent a letter to before she killed herself telling them why she did it & what they said to make her do it.
